  • Spirituality

As a psychotherapist, she enjoys providing authentic, compassionate and insightful support as she journeys with her clients through the variety of challenges they face. Her approach is based in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and is client centred and solution focused.

Tina understands that our past has influenced our present but it need not dictate our future. Our life experience, positive or negative, are building blocks for who we are today and can be effective tools in creating who we aspire to be tomorrow. She believes that with the right tools, empathic support, and personal determination, we can live our lives with courage, growth, and vitality.

As part of a military family, Tina also brings empathy, insight and support in her work with CAF members, veterans and their families.

Tina offers virtual care in Canada, and in-person sessions in Ottawa, ON. She works with a variety of extended health providers including Sun Life, Great West Life, Blue Cross, Green Shield and SSQ. (Please check with your extended health provider to ensure your plan has coverage for a Registered Psychotherapist)

In addition to her private practice, Tina works as a Peer Coach and Practice Advisor for the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

In her spare time, she enjoys running, strength training, her chocolate Labrador Jazzy, and a good mystery novel.

Meet Amelia

courage|growth|vitality

Courage: Often, in our society, there's a stigma that going to therapy is a sign of weakness; that we can’t handle life on our own.  However, life was never meant to be lived in isolation.  Stepping into therapy requires courage; courage to face life’s challenges, courage to say "I’m struggling", courage to ask for help.  Courage provides us with the strength to face the difficult circumstance, challenging relationship, or problematic thoughts and feelings we encounter in our lives.

Growth: Therapy is a place to engage in personal and relational growth.  The desire for growth says that we are not content with living life "as is" or even maintaining the status quo.  As we pursue growth, we believe that we can challenge ourselves to new heights and seek for ways to discover a better version of ourselves, our relationships and overall improving our quality of life.

Vitality: Courage and growth, partnered with insights and strategies within the therapeutic context can bring balance and vitality.  We can live a fulfilling life with intention, as we work from the foundation of our values and goals.

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
